OFFICIAL MAJOR LEAGUE VAIL S1 PRO LEAGUE ANNOUNCEMENT🚨🚨🚨
Major League VAIL is ceasing their partnership and status with GameArena, while we appreciate their help in being a prototype league for their website, we believe it's in the best interest of our vision and future goals of the league to *move on* and continue to put the players, teams, organizations, sponsors, and the VAIL product on notice through our *own website*, where we have personal control - no more random "website is under maintenance" or GameArena related issues! 😎🤘🕹️ What does this mean for now? - Captains will recreate their teams on the Major League VAIL website - This means players will have to recreate their own accounts, in order to request to join their teams on the website - S1 Pro League Major and Challenger Cup brackets will be posted and available via Challonge What does this mean for the future/our website? - Much more SIMPLE website design and UI for easier flow and usage - Discord Integration: updates through the website linked via Discord and vice versa (player/team updates, match generation/announcements, caster notifications, etc.) - More logical bracket creation, with Home/Away designation that isn't randomized - NO PLAYER PERMISSION FORMS - More control internally with less waiting for answers! Prize Eligibility and Payment
Prize payouts will only be issued to individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age and legally permitted to receive prize payments in their jurisdiction. If a winning player is under the age of 18 or is otherwise unable to legally receive prize funds, the team must designate an eligible representative who is at least 18 years of age to receive the payout on behalf of the team. The tournament organizer is not responsible for distributing prize funds among team members after payment has been issued. If no eligible representative can be provided within the timeframe specified by the tournament organizer, the team may forfeit its claim to the prize at the organizer's discretion. Tournament organizers reserve the right to request proof of age and identity before issuing any prize payment.
